Read the signs on your block
Shoreline's parking guide explains time limits, loading-zone signs and restrictions near driveways and intersections. It also makes clear that the public street outside a home is not automatically reserved for that property. We recommend choosing the unloading location in advance and giving helpers separate parking directions so the closest suitable space stays workable.

Ask before using the parking strip
Shoreline advises that placing unusual objects in the street or using the parking strip for certain activities may need a right-of-way permit. If your move includes a storage container or extended staging, check with Permit Services first. For ordinary boxes, we recommend an indoor handoff point that leaves the sidewalk and neighboring entrances accessible.

Check neighborhood access in winter
Shoreline clears primary snow routes before secondary routes and neighborhood streets, and its StormReady page links to a snow-event road-closure map. We recommend checking those resources when winter weather could affect a move. Confirm the driveway and walking path separately, and discuss a safer time with the moving crew if the final approach is unsuitable.
