Confirm who handles your street
Stafford explains that the city, TxDOT and Fort Bend County operate roads in the area; street jurisdiction does not necessarily establish ownership. Use the Street Department's contact information for questions about roadway conditions or who should handle an access issue. Before unloading, confirm a suitable vehicle location with the property manager and the responsible public agency where needed.

Review the Southwest Freeway connection
If your move uses I-69/US 59, US 90A or Beltway 8, check Houston TranStar shortly before departure. Allow time for the local approach as well as the highway leg, and send the driver the exact driveway or loading entrance. Keep a building contact available so a traffic delay can be coordinated before helpers arrive with additional cars.

Plan the first pickup after unpacking
Stafford's residential waste page links an address-based collection map and explains how to arrange special pickups for items outside normal service. Check your new address before setting materials at the curb. Keep collection containers clear of the moving vehicle and pedestrian route, and confirm how to handle bulky discards instead of leaving everything outside once the boxes are empty.
