Separate through-truck rules from local access
Bellaire's traffic code treats through travel and a truck with a definite local destination differently. It also has a separate rule for dual-rear-wheel trucks or those with more than two axles on the 4300 and 4400 blocks of Lafayette Street. Give your mover the exact destination and vehicle details so it can confirm the permitted approach. A route exception does not itself authorize parking or reserve curb space.

Check the street-sweeping section
Bellaire divides street sweeping into four sections with different weeks of the month. The city asks drivers to avoid street parking from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays when their area is scheduled. Check the section map before choosing helper parking or a long unloading window. Weather and equipment can shift the schedule, so confirm a workable alternative rather than treating a usual sweep day as fixed.

Verify access near the waterline project
Bellaire's Priority Waterline Replacement page identifies work beginning on South Rice Avenue between Jessamine and Pine, with surrounding streets included as the project progresses. If your approach uses that area, review the latest update and ask about the property's entrance before arranging arrival. Follow current signs and instructions; a project map does not tell you whether a particular driveway, lane or pedestrian crossing will be usable on moving day.
