Choose the right Grand Parkway connection
TxDOT identifies Grand Parkway Segment E as the connection between I-10 and US 290, while Segment F-1 continues from US 290 toward SH 249. For a move between Cypress and another part of the region, check the actual entrance and exit rather than relying on a neighborhood name. Share the final approach with your driver.

Recheck US 290 and local access
Houston TranStar provides traffic cameras, construction information, incidents and road-closure layers, including a dedicated US 290 construction view. Check conditions shortly before departure and confirm that the property's gate or loading entrance is on the approach you selected. An open freeway does not answer where the vehicle can safely stop at your destination.

Keep a heavy-rain backup
Harris County Flood Control District's warning system monitors rainfall and bayou or stream levels, and its watershed resources include Cypress Creek and Little Cypress Creek. Use those tools alongside official road warnings when rain threatens your move. Choose an indoor place for packed boxes and agree who will contact the building or helpers if arrival needs changing.
