Ask Dallas about the actual curb plan
Dallas says its meter-hooding permits are not intended to reserve parking for personal use and do not override parking bans. Before assuming a downtown space can be held for your move, ask Parking Services which arrangement fits your address and vehicle. Coordinate a private loading dock or another authorized stopping location with the property manager.

Read Fort Worth's meter limits
Fort Worth's metered parking hours differ by district, and its guidance says drivers must move when a meter's time limit expires rather than adding time indefinitely. Red-bagged meters are reserved. Check the signs at your destination, then arrange unloading separately if the move will exceed the available time or needs more space than one vehicle bay.

Recheck the cross-metro route
TxDOT's DriveTexas resource brings together road closures, construction, weather impacts and traffic-camera views. Use it to review the highway connection between your two addresses before departure, including any planned alternative. Give the driver both loading entrances and the building contact's number so a route change does not leave helpers waiting at the wrong side of the property.
